The sports clubs in Oberhavel offer many sports activities. You can find a current overview here on our page. Actively participating in sports promotes health, but also community, meeting new people, and offers diverse connections.
If you volunteer as an instructor/coach, you can make many new contacts, use the German language in everyday life, and make an important contribution to cohesion. Furthermore, there are numerous training opportunities in organized sports that not only enrich you personally but can also open up career prospects.
Sport connects people – and having your own club offers the opportunity to permanently implement shared ideas, integrate people, and promote social participation. In Germany, founding a club is a recognized and legally regulated way to pursue common goals – such as sports, culture, or education. Especially for migrants, a sports club can be an important place for meeting, integration, and self-organization.
A registered association (e. V.) gains legal personality through its entry in the association register (§ 21 German Civil Code – BGB) and can thus conclude contracts, apply for funding, or become a member of the State Sports Federation. For its establishment, at least seven people are required to jointly adopt statutes and elect a board.
To make it easier to get started, the following partners offer support and practical guidance. Together, these partners support people with and without a migration background in becoming active in sports, building new sports communities, and living integration in everyday life.
The state of Brandenburg offers numerous programs and grants to promote involvement in sports and strengthen integration. Especially for new or growing clubs, migrant initiatives, or volunteers, it is worth looking at the following options.
Many of these programs can be planned and implemented together with the Kreissportbund Oberhavel e.V. or the FBB Training Center Oranienburg. *
