Our Mission<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Sport connects \u2013 across language, origin and generations.
This is precisely what the project “Integration through Sport in the Oberhavel District”<\/b> is all about, which was funded by the Migration Department of the Oberhavel District<\/b> from March 1 to December 31, 2025<\/b> and implemented by the Familien-Sport-Verein-Oberhavel e.V.<\/b>.

Our common goal:<\/h3>

Bringing people together.<\/b>
Through exercise, games, and interaction, we have strengthened the social integration of migrants, promoted their physical and mental health, reduced language barriers, and overcome prejudices. Sport has become a door opener for exchange, trust, and respectful interaction. <\/p>

Multicultural sports groups<\/b> have been established throughout the Oberhavel district. The offer was supplemented by three large open sports days<\/b>, in which over 350 people<\/b> actively participated \u2013 families, children, young people and adults from very different walks of life. What was particularly important to us: Participation from the beginning.<\/b> Families and network partners were deliberately involved in the planning and implementation of the family sports days. <\/p>

Another focus was on language support through sport<\/b> and the development of sustainable structures. Trainer programs and coach tandems<\/b> were developed in training courses, network meetings and practical formats. A total of eight instructors<\/b> were qualified as general sports trainers C<\/b> for working with refugees. <\/p>

A real centerpiece of the project was the active involvement of migrants as multipliers and instructors<\/b>. This significantly facilitated access to club sports \u2013 and enabled sports clubs to grow in a more diverse, open and sustainable manner. <\/p>

With sport-vereint.de<\/b>, we have also created a basis for making sports offers in the district clearly, precisely and, above all, multilingually<\/b> visible. The platform supports clubs in reaching new target groups and invites people to discover suitable exercise offers in their area. <\/p>
